Hub Class of 2016 Graduation!

The 2016 Hub members – Mel Fung, Mel Hanger and Lisa Bateup – celebrated their graduation on 6 June, along with staff from ADM and Seed, and friends and family.

Reflecting on the Hub experience, Lisa Bateup described how she developed concrete foundations for CultureConnect through the Hub program, as well as lasting friendships and support. "It wouldn't be an overstatement to say this is one of the best things I have done in my life," she said. Mel Fung shared how the Hub enabled her to create structures for her expanding Jesus Club initiative, saying: "My vision seemed daunting and impossible, but thanks to The Hub it has been made possible." Mel Hanger said her idea could only become a reality through The Hub experience: "There is no way I would have been about to bring about God's vision for Hope Junction if not for The Hub program," she said.

Project Leader for Seed and The Hub, Kara Martin, and Founder and CEO of Seed, John Beckett, both praised the three graduates for their hard work, dedication and achievements, and Acting CEO of ADM, Ken Breakspear, dedicated each member and their work to God through prayer.

We can’t wait to see how God works in and through these faithful women and their initiatives in the future.
