About the Fellowships Program

As each has received a gift, use it to serve one another,
as good stewards of God’s varied grace.

Raising up Christian women to make culture

ADM’s vision is to see women from generation to generation flourishing in Kingdom work. In pursuit of this vision, our mission is to raise up women with theological formation for practical and public engagement.

As the third key element of this broader mission, ADM’s Public Engagement ministry seeks to enable Christian women to develop and steward their God-given gifts in various spheres of public life, culture, ministry and work.

The ADM Fellowships Program seeks to raise up Christian women to make culture. Our Fellowships are designed for women of mature faith who demonstrate excellence in their field, as well as the potential for deeper theological engagement with their field and professional development in Christian public engagement.

To achieve this, we seek to:

Recognise the work of Christian women who demonstrate excellence and leadership, honouring their abilities as gifts from God. We celebrate these gifts as worthy of cultivation to serve others, for the glory of God. We do this by awarding competitive Fellowships and by hosting high-quality events to engage the public with our Fellows’ work. Our Visiting Fellowships also platform the work of Christian women of outstanding talent, providing role models for young women in stewarding their own gifts and engaging publicly as Christians.

Support Christian women with financial and institutional resources to undertake focused projects, and produce high-quality outputs that have both short-term and long-term Kingdom impact. In the short-term, Fellows’ outputs (such as books, articles, resources, artworks, talks etc.) benefit the Church and the common good. In the long-term, completing these outputs can enable Fellows to reach the next step in larger vocational goals and raise them up to make culture as Christians. This is achieved primarily through our year-long Fellowships and Senior Fellowships, which are funded at industry-standard levels. These offer the time and support necessary for our Fellows to ‘get runs on the board’, which build their professional credibility and opportunities to contribute to public life. Our Fellowships provide crucial stepping stones to enable Christian women to make valuable and lasting contributions to our society in a way that points towards the saving work of Christ in their life and in their work.

Encourage ADM Fellows to pursue deeper theological engagement with their field of endeavour, integrating their faith and vocation. We do this by providing Fellows with forums for theological formation and avenues for connecting with Christian mentors and networks.

Provide ADM Fellows with training in key practical skills for engaging publicly and inspire them to think in imaginative ways about Christian public engagement. We do this by facilitating Fellows’ participation in a variety of public events, forums and media, as well as through opportunities to co-design and participate in ADM public events.

At ADM, we're investing in Christian women. We want to give them the time and support they need to be raised up for public engagement.

We can't wait to see where our Fellowships alumni will end up! For some hints on what might be possible, take a look at our News and Events pages to see what our 2017 ADM Fellows have already achieved.
